Christ is the end of the law, for the justification of all who believe
Indeed, Moses also defines the righteousness that comes from the law: The man who does these things shall live by them.
But thus speaks the righteousness that comes from faith: Do not say in your heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? it is to bring down Christ;
or: Who will descend into the abyss? it is to trace Christ from the dead.
What does she say then? The word is near you, your mouth, and your heart. Now it is the word of faith that we preach.
If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
For it is by believing with the heart that we come to righteousness, and it is by confessing with the mouth that we come to salvation, according to this scripture:
Anyone who believes in him will not be confused.
There is no difference, indeed, between us, since we all have the same Lord, who is rich for all those who invoke him.
Anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
How then will they invoke the one in whom they did not believe? And how will they believe in the one they have not heard of? And how will they hear about it if there's no one preaching?
And how will there be preachers, if they are not sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who announce peace, Of those who announce the good news!
But not all obeyed the good news. Then Isaiah said, Lord, who has believed our preaching?
So, faith comes by hearing, and hearing comes from the word of Christ.
But I say: did they not hear? Oh, opposite! Their voice has gone through the whole earth, And their words to the ends of the earth.
Moses the first said: I will excite your jealousy by what is not a nation, I will irritate your anger by a nation without understanding.
And Isaiah pushes the audacity to say: I was found by those who were not looking for me, I showed myself to those who did not know me.
And he said: I have stretched out my hands all day long towards rebellious and contradictory people.
