Haiti News USA: Former Haitian political candidate pleads guilty to cocaine trafficking
Vincent Casseus, former Deputy candidate (2015) of Jeremie (Dept. Grande Anse) under the banner of the Alternative League for Progress and Haitian Emancipation (LAPEH), extradited to the United States, pleaded guilty to cocaine trafficking, confirmed the District Attorney's Office of South Florida.

Casseus, nicknamed "Angelo" or "Jérémie", 44, will be the subject of a hearing on January 30 about his sentence after pleading guilty to "possession with attempted distribution" of more than 500 grams of cocaine.
According to court records "Casseus ran a drug trafficking organization that used people to import cocaine into the United States, hidden in tomato paste cans."
