Marriage of Believer and Unbeliever Prohibited

Image
When Israel entered the Promised Land, the Jews were prohibited from intermarrying with the inhabitants of the land; Deut7: 3-4. The reason was because the Jews were believers and the inhabitants of the land were idolaters. There is no way for a Right Man - Right Woman relationship or marriage to succeed between a believer and unbeliever.  There is a prohibition against a Christian marrying an unbeliever 2 Corinthians 6: 14 The explanation for this strikes at the heart of what happens in rejection of the Right Man Right Woman relationship. Stop being unequally yoked to unbelievers; for you see, what partnership has Righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness? (2 Corinthians 6:14)

Woman is the Glory of Right Man

Image
Man was not created for the woman’s sake, but woman for the man’s sake. The LORD God said: It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suited to him.*So the LORD God formed out of the ground all the wild animals and all thebirds of the air, and he brought them to the man to see what he would call them; whatever the man called each living creature was then its name. The man gave names to all the tame animals, all the birds of the air, and all the wild animals; but none proved to be a helper suited to the man. So the LORD God cast a deep sleep on the man, and while he was asleep, he took out one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. The LORD God then built the rib that he had taken from the man into a woman. When he brought her to the man, the man said: “This one, at last, is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; This one shall be called ‘woman,’ for out of man this one has been taken.”* That is why a man leaves his father and mother and clings to his wife,...

The gospel is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes. The gospel is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”

Reward for Obedience “ ‘Do not make idols or set up an image or a sacred stone for yourselves, and do not place a carved stone in your land to bow down before it. I am the Lord your God. “ ‘Observe my Sabbaths and have reverence for my sanctuary. I am the Lord. “ ‘If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands, I will send you rain in its season, and the ground will yield its crops and the trees their fruit. Your threshing will continue until grape harvest and the grape harvest will continue until planting, and you will eat all the food you want and live in safety in your land. “ ‘I will grant peace in the land, and you will lie down and no one will make you afraid. I will remove wild beasts from the land, and the sword will not pass through your country. You will pursue your enemies, and they will fall by the sword before you. Five of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand, and your enemies will fall by the sword before you. “ ‘I will loo...

The LORD brought his people out of Egypt, loaded with silver and gold; and not one among the tribes of Israel even stumbled.

The Lord said to Moses and Aaron in Egypt, “This month is to be for you the first month, the first month of your year. Tell the whole community of Israel that on the tenth day of this month each man is to take a lamb for his family, one for each household. If any household is too small for a whole lamb, they must share one with their nearest neighbor, having taken into account the number of people there are. You are to determine the amount of lamb needed in accordance with what each person will eat. The animals you choose must be year-old males without defect, and you may take them from the sheep or the goats. Take care of them until the fourteenth day of the month, when all the members of the community of Israel must slaughter them at twilight. Then they are to take some of the blood and put it on the sides and tops of the door frames of the houses where they eat the lambs. That same night they are to eat the meat roasted over the fire, along with bitter herbs, and bread made without ...

Jean M Jacques Francesca Menes attended the Little Haiti rally. Her mother is Haitian, and her father is from the Dominican Republic. She says anti-Haitian sentiment in the Dominican Republic is deeply rooted. In October 1937 some 20,000 Haitians are estimated to have been killed under orders from Dominican dictator Rafael Trujillo. People who were suspected of being Haitian were ordered to pronounce the Spanish word for parsley, perejil. A person who could not correctly roll the R was concluded to be Haitian and was murdered. Menes says this latest push to remove Haitians from the Dominican Republic is yet another government-sanctioned move that speaks to the hate Haitians continue to face.
